Where do you operate?

Our main focus is on the UK, with London and the South East being the busiest areas. However our head office is in Mold, North Wales (near Chester).

We regularly handle vacancies in many other parts of the UK, including Scotland, Northern Ireland, together with mainland Europe, Ireland and a host of offshore locations. We have worked in locations as diverse as the City of London, Plymouth, Carlisle, Cardiff, Leicester and the Isle of Man. Ten Percent Financial works with companies and accountancy practices of all shapes and sizes. We specialise particularly in the recruitment of accountants for public practice (accountants use the term “public practice” when referring to accountants working via a firm providing accountancy services to the public).

A good deal of our time is spent recruiting Senior Accountants with and without audit experience as these are usually candidates in a lot of demand from accountancy firms in London and the Home Counties.

Why are you called Ten Percent Financial?

History

Ten Percent Financial Recruitment has been operating for over 15 years as part of the Ten Percent Group of websites, working across the UK and in particular around London and the South East. We are recruitment consultants with interests in the legal profession, finance and industry, chartered accountant practices and many more. One of the directors had been through the recruitment process, and discovered that there was a gap in the market for an online professional recruitment company offering a low cost, fast, hassle-free service for both candidates and clients. We decided to call ourselves Ten-Percent on the basis that we uniquely donate 10% of our annual profits to charity, and since 2000 we have gone on to donate many £000′s to a range of charitable causes via the Ten-Percent Foundation. In 2002 we established a charitable trust called the Ten-Percent Foundation. All charitable donations will be made through this in future. How we work

We are already aware of a lot of vacancies and seek out new positions all the time. When you register with us, we let the firms in the area you seek employment know that we have a candidate looking for a particular type of work, and give them a reference number. If interested, they contact us, and we let you know the firm’s details. If you are interested, we contact the firm and arrange an interview for you, letting the firm know your name at that point.

We do not send out personal details and never identify you prior to you giving us consent to reveal your name to firms. We spend a lot of time recruiting in London and the South East, but are also very successful in other areas of the UK.

We are different because

1. We do not pressure candidates into accepting positions or interviews, but instead make you aware of the opportunity to speak to interested firms.
2. We do not have a quota of CV’s to send out, there are no targets for us to reach, we do not employ salespeople to “sell” candidates, and we are pleased for you regardless of how you obtain work (ie with or without our services).
3. We do not telephone candidates or clients constantly, bombard you with emails or turn up on your doorstep! We will contact you by email and text with new vacancies and a monthly newsletter, and apart from chasing for interview feedback we do not make it a habit to harass anyone.
