This is a hands-on role, which will require the candidate to work under their own initiative either in the office or on site at clients’ premises. We therefore require an experienced accountant (part qualified or QBE) with a strong UK based audit and accounts background to carry out the following role:
• Preparation and/or audit of accounts for a wide range of corporate and non-corporate entities of various sizes from the planning stage through to finalisation and initial review with the client or partner/audit manager.
• Experience of working with charities and other not for profit organisations.
• Good and up to date knowledge of the application of accounting and auditing standards.
• Preparation of Corporation & Income Tax Computations & CT600 Returns/iXbrl tagging.
• Reasonable tax, payroll and statutory knowledge would be an advantage.
• Able to work alone or as part of a team (two or three persons).
• Capable of working on numerous clients’ affairs, working to budgets & to deadlines.
• Able to work under own initiative and unsupervised in our offices or at client’s premises.
• Computer literate with good knowledge of word & excel.
• Experience of IRIS and Sage Line 50 preferable.
• Should be proactive in their approach to the role and the profession.
• Will report directly to the partners and/or the accounts/audit managers.
• Minimum 3 years experience in accounts/auditing in a U.K. practice.
• Salary – market rate.
